TICKETS ON THE DOOR ONLY NOW, FOLKSW
We're celebrating the launch of the new chapbook edition of SOMETIMES A WILD GOD with a shindig at Dartington Village Hall. Tom Hirons will be reading the poem and other works - published and works-in-progress - and be in conversation with Tim Russell. There'll be music, fine company, wild words and magic. Do come and join us.
First time round, back in 2015, we didn't even *do* launch events. SOMETIMES A WILD GOD lurched into the world out of a barn on Dartmoor and was off before we had a chance to close the door and put our boots on. It's gone on to occupy a powerful and particular place in many people's hearts and we thought it long overdue to celebrate it somehow. So, come and help us do that, and hear some of what the poem has been up to while we try to count the number of languages it has been translated into...
Proceedings will begin at 7.30pm sharp. Bring your own refreshment if you require fortification. Kicking out is at 11.00. If you're able to help set up or clean up, we'll love you - drop us a line at email@example.com or 07984 581 289. The hall is situated at: Dartington Village Hall, Cott Road, Dartington, TQ9 6HY - parking is limited, so unless you're desperate, please park in the car park just along the road (see the map.)
We won't send out tickets - we'll just have a list of names at the door. It's probably going to be very busy and might well sell out, so get your tickets in advance if you can.
And if you don't know the poem - how about reading it now to see if it's got something for you. The whole text is here to read in the 'Look Inside' section:
