Hedgespeaker - three-session storytelling course (Spring 2021)

Hedgespeaker - three-session storytelling course (Spring 2021)

£250.00 GBP

On this course, Tom will be hosting three three-hour storytelling workshops online. Aimed at those who already have some (even if only a little) experience of storytelling, these three sessions will take us deep into the territory of the arts and crafts of storytelling, including both nuts-and-bolts techniques and some of the more magical aspects of this work. Expect to be stretched and - hopefully - delighted.

All calls begin at 6.30pm BST (GMT+1). The course dates are:

  • Sunday 11th April
  • Sunday 2nd May
  • Sunday 23rd May

Each session will be in two halves, with a break and plenty of time for questions, comment and interaction - it's not just a series of seminars. Tom draws on twenty years of storytelling experience, including five years with Hedgespoken travelling storytelling theatre, and has a reputation for mesmerising telling and a silver-tongued, but down-to-earth style.

We're offering three free places on this course. Priority will be given to those who are from travelling cultures and refugees and migrants, but these bursaries are open to all who need them - to apply, just email us with a brief outline of your situation.

Attendance on this workshop also gives you access to the Threadweavers and Hedgespeakers online forum, where we host storytelling evenings and share resources exclusively for forum members.

Paying in instalments is also an option - email us and we’ll work out how and what and when.

We are also running monthly storytelling workshops – Weaving Threads in Thin Air - beginning in March 2021.
