Hedgespeaker - six month storytelling course (Autumn 2020)

Hedgespeaker - six month storytelling course (Autumn 2020)

£250.00 GBP

New for summer/autumn 2020!

On this six-month course, Tom will be hosting three three(ish)-hour storytelling workshops online. Aimed at those who already have some (even if only a little) experience of storytelling, these three sessions will take us deep into the territory of the arts and crafts of storytelling, including both nuts-and-bolts techniques and some of the more magical aspects of this work. Expect to be stretched and - hopefully - delighted.

The course will begin at 6.00pm on Sunday 16th August and the two following sessions will be Sunday 18th October and Sunday 6th December.

The course will begin at 6.00pm on Sunday 16th August and the two following sessions will be Sunday 18th October and Sunday 6th December.

Each session will be in two halves, with a break and plenty of time for questions, comment and interaction - it's not just a series of seminars. Tom draws on twenty years of storytelling experience, including five years with Hedgespoken travelling storytelling theatre, and has a reputation for mesmerising telling and a silver-tongued, but down-to-earth style.

Thanks to some Arts Council funding, we're able to offer three free places on this course. Priority will be given to those who are from travelling cultures and refugees and migrants, but these bursaries are open to all who need them - to apply, just email us with a brief outline of your situation.

Paying in instalments is also an option - email us and we’ll work out how and what and when.

This course is one that we’re hoping to also run in 2021.

We are also running monthly storytelling workshops – Weaving Threads in Thin Air - beginning in July 2020.
