I have yet to read the books contained herein, but if they bring in a world that is unreachable in the hurried, fast-paced wheel that we are all on - these will be savored, all in good time, as all Treasures should be. I mean the packaging, ALONE, is transporting me to another time and place - more real and deeply embedded in my soul than this one. A great BIG thank you HUG - is sent your way.

I live and work in a digital world, writing computer programs that translate zeroes and ones into different zeroes and ones that other digital-aware people are willing to pay more for than the original zeroes and ones.
However, this is not all that I am, and SEVEN DOORS IN AN UNYIELDING STONE insistently demands that I don't let it be so; that I don't come obsessed with "things a little like the real, but with the real taken out of them"; these seven books, as well as being beautiful by themselves, help me remain centered and remind me that the stone is waiting -- "singing in the green field".
I read these books with long pauses between each over a few weeks, and each of them led to reflection and thought. I regionally thought that there would be ones I'd like and ones I'd think "ho-hum" and maybe ones I'd put aside on re-reading, but now I'm not sure. The Gerard-Manley-Hopkins-influenced poetry, the essay on twilight, the myths and magic -- they form a whole that I'm not sure I;'ll ever want to pry apart.
I am a Christian, and so pre-disposed to believe in things unseen and in the power of language and belief to break through the material works and reveal truth. I am very, very glad I took the opportunity to buy and read these books; I think you will be too.

Most things perceived as barriers can be reconstructed or seen differently when utilizing the power available to us in the imaginal realm. Storytelling is an important gateway to that realm. Anytime I want to visit, "Seven Doors in an Unyielding Stone" is now on a bookshelf for me to read and share. The series makes a special gift; I chose this to express gratitude to one of my former professors of Mythological Studies.

A few years ago, I stumbled upon “Once a Wild God” and have been a fan of Tm and Raina’s ever since. Oh that we didn’t live so far and far! This collection of wee books is beautifully presented and oh so carefully selected. Here just in time for Yule, I’m sure they will grace many a dark winter night and on into summer’s campfires! Thanks again for keeping the stories alive! Anything from Hedgespoken and BearSpeakstotheStars is a treasure!

Very beautiful and unique

A wonderfully presented small run production of 7 chap books by well established writers. I bought this on the basis of Charles De Lint's recommendation in Fantasy and Science Fiction, and was not disappointed.

A review is a bit difficult as I only started to read Bull.Poppy.Star yesterday and I have promised myself to go very slow with it. What I can say already though is that my husband gave the box Seven Doors in An Unyielding Stone as a surprise present and I had to hold myself back from stroking the box all day.
beautiful box, beautiful collection. Looking forward so much to slow-read them one by one.

Seven doors, seven seeds, seven gifts, making countless ripples in the collective unconscious. The best writing puts us in contact with the mysteries in ourselves, and that is what each of these small and potent books does. I purchased the set as a set, and I am pleased that I did. Fewer than seven would never do.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this boxed set. I had recently just
discovered Hedgespoken Press and fell in awe of their offerings.
This is a quality product, expertly crafted, and each book is a delight to behold.
So much love, effort, and dedication has gone into this collection.
It will be a treasure for years to come.

As it was my Christmas present (to myself), I waited, very impatiently, to open it on Christmas Day. What a joy. Superb, magical writing from seven amazing authors, and whether it was intentional or not, reading them all together in one day made it seem as if they were seven threads of the same thought, ideas weaving in and out of each other, interlinked and resonating between. I spent several beautiful hours lost in a different world, one I was very reluctant to return from. Wonderful!

The Unveiling of the Seven Doors
Oh ~ How my heart, my omni heart, my entire universal being, awaits the splendid pleasure ...
to experience your absolutely, beautiful, quintessential, monographs.
The 'Seven Doors' may one day be opened, as if by a magi, in a velvet, carpet, auditorium,
of moon dust in a spinifex oasis, of luscious temples.
Albeit ~ there is a special space morphing, prior to arrival, of your sacred poetic texts,
into the lands of the 'Great Exit Gates' of Quarraluna, here,
in the fragrant, abandoned, Dreamtime, of Western Australia.
Your Earth gift, of bound words, symbols, images and magical intents,
is intuitively partially experienced, with vast gratitude, enigmatic, joy, in awed delight.
Your parcel may well remain unopened, for an extended appropriate time ...
to disembark, from her long, half world hemispherical journey,
into the Great Southern Lands, North of Antarctica.
One day, after every hint of intent, fragrance and emotion is revealed, felt and perceived,
the cargo will be revealed. The opening of the 'Seven Doors' will confirm my instinct,
of mistress/master works, of 'Sublime Qulah'.
It is my custom to read, contemplate and ponder, a text over two decades,
however as our breath of life is closing, your doors will be graced open,
as a yielding monolith, in a paradise of palaces, of reverie and delicious entanglement.
Thank you One and All, at Hedgespoken, especially
Rima Staines, Tom Hirons,
Sylvia V. Linsteadt, Michaela Meadow,
Joanna Hruby, Terri Windling and Jay Griffiths.
Particular respectful gratitude, I impart to the 'Wonderful Man Of Soul' ~ Martin Shaw.
His Beauty In Simplicity, Spine Tingling Truth, Laden with Blessings, Loaded in Mythic Awe. ...
A Radical Door Opener ~ Oracular Sage and Doctor.
For it was his Mythic adventures in Crete, with Andreas Kornevall film production of
"Twelve Secret Names" that led me on a cyber pilgrimage, to uncover his literature,
to find myself at the Caravanserai, of your 'Hedge of the Imaginarium'.
Salutations, with Deep, Endless, Freedoms, Torched with Peaceful, Omni, Loving, Blessings.
Michael Moon ~ Dreamtime Poet ~ Quarraluna ~ Western Australia ******

What a little treasure box chock full of wonderful tales. I bought two, one for myself and one for a gift. Just deciding who the lucky recipient will be. I am sure anyone who gets this will be utterly delighted.

As beautiful as expected.
The presentation only adds to the depth of the content.
